I drove down a bit ago to southern Israel. The highway cuts through the desert. Coming for the United States I did not expect to have any coverage in the middle of the desert. I was proven wrong. Through out the the four hour trip I was connected on my laptop via my cellular card and I was on the web browsing @ 1.5 mbps with no issue. I was also making VOIP calls with no issues over G711U !!! When will the US catch up ?

I am waiting in Turkey now for my connecting flight back to Tel Aviv. It was wonderful meeting the guys over at Regional Broadband. I think my trip was too short. There was not enough time to make my way around. This was my second time visiting there and I defiantly have to go back there. The part that amazed me the most was the friendly environment of the Irish. They seem to be all happy and smiles. I defiantly need to go back and visit some time soon.
